Sarah McGrew

Reporter

Sarah McGrew joined TMJ4 as a reporter and multimedia journalist in February 2021 and is excited to get to know everything Milwaukee has to offer.

Previously, Sarah worked as a multimedia journalist for WAOW in Wausau for 2 1/2 years and covered everything from Wausau’s snowiest winter on record, the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Crisis, and presidential visits to Wisconsin.

Sarah is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She grew up playing soccer and exploring the Sandia Mountains. She received a B.A. in Communications Across Borders from the University of Redlands’ Johnston Center for Integrative Studies and an M.S. in Journalism from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism (Fight On!).

While in school, Sarah studied abroad for a year in Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, and Cuba. She also worked for Annenberg Media doing everything from broadcast to radio and social media/digital journalism.

When she’s not reporting, you can find Sarah outside paddle boarding, cross country skiing, running, exploring new places to eat in Milwaukee, or walking her rescue dog Lambeau (yes, as in Lambeau Field). Sarah is also an avid US women’s soccer fan.

Feel free to reach out to Sarah with any food recommendations, just to chat or with story ideas!
