Southeast Wisconsin weather: Rain ends, sunny Tuesday with highs in the 70s

The skies quickly clear out Tuesday and we return to sunshine. Highs will warm into the mid to upper 70s. Wednesday is mostly sunny with highs back in the mid-80s.

A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11PM MONDAY FOR ALL OF SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN. HEAVY RAIN WILL LEAD TO AREAS OF URBAN AND FLASH FLOODING. 

Much of the area has picked up 1-4" of rainfall as of Monday evening, with rain still falling in some areas. On and off light to moderate rain will continue into this evening. Areas of flooding are possible through tonight. Gusty winds will continue at times. Waves on Lake Michigan as high as 8 feet are possible, leading to dangerous conditions on and near the water. Showers will gradually come to an end tonight into early Tuesday morning.

Wednesday is mostly sunny with highs back in the mid 80s. 

A cold front drops through the area early Thursday - bringing a chance for a few showers/storms. 

High-pressure then builds in for the weekend - driving high temps into the 80s and 90s. Above-average temperatures are expected through the weekend and into next week.
